Arizona Highways

Arizona Highways is an illustrated magazine showing the vivid colorful beauty of the Desert Southwest. But, don’t forget about the Mountains and Forests. And, you’ll find multitudes of flowers and people. It is a visually stunning journal.

These magazines can have value whether they are kept for their condition. But lesser condition issues are sometimes more valuable when dissembled for the framable art that lies within – and in particular the covers. It’s hard to believe that the printing quality that was done at this time could be furnished for such an inexpensive price.

Later issues in the 1970s and 1980s don’t have the thicker matte card covers. However, the photography continues to draw you in with bright and southwest pastel colors. There’s emotion with each photograph, whether it’s the stunning rock formations in the infinite landscape, or the rich culture captured in the faces of the people who have lived there for ages.

In the end, you appreciate the printing techniques from each era, and find a flow and pattern with all the topics and techniques.

Those that appreciate the outdoors, and traveling down the road to find the gems that are throughout the desert if you look at it right, have always appreciated Arizona Highways Magazine. They usually remain fans for life.
