1945 JOHNSON FARE BOX JFB GOOD FOR ONE FA Bus Coach Transit Token BZ MS11A VARSo, MS11A is a White Metal token. This one is identical, except it is Bronze. It does not appear to be plated. So, while it may have a different A-C designation, we are not seeing it thus far. For the sake of identification, we are therefore calling out the pattern but accepting it may have a different letter. It is definitely in the MS11 family.This vintage 1945 Johnson Fare Box JFB transit token is a unique collectible item with historical significance. The token features the special mark “GOOD FOR ONE FARE with Diamonds” and measures 15.77mm in size. The cutout design and bronze metal composition add to its charm. The token was part of the Atwood-Coffee Mfg Sample Group 11 A – Variation and was used in transit in the state of Illinois, specifically in the city of Chicago. Although it has been circulated, it is still in good condition and has years of history behind it. This token is a great addition to any collection of transit tokens or exonumia.
