Description

1963 CATLIN BODMER MILLER Omaha Joslyn Art Museum 1830 ARTIST EXPLORERS BrochureThis is a rare preserved copy of a brochure that was available at a triple art exhibition at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska between May 1 and September 2, 1963. The Caitlin Exhibit was only there until May 26 of that year, when it was then moved to the Smithsonian Institution’s Traveling Circuit. This copy came from a Fort Collins Historian who was a thoughtful collector of all sorts of things from books, to brochures, to bottles, to rocks. He was also a conservationist who had an eye for the artists to inspired others to action, and perhaps saw all things working together. This book also had inside 5 other brochures or letters, and because he and his family kept detailed records of their travels (which were coast to coast), it is likely that they personally attended this exhibit and gathered all these things. Then, they put them in a manilla to be found again nearly 60 years later. The other items will be offered in our other listings. The brochure measures 3.5″ x 5″
