ANTIQUE BURNETT’S STANDARD FLAVORING EXTRACTS BOSTON Embossed Aqua Bottle 5.625″
This is different than some Burnett’s bottles in that the sides are embossed, but the front panels are neither embossed, nor is there an indented panel. This had a paper label, and the contents of this product are probably flavoring extracts, but it is possible it was a different product for this type.
This is a bottle from an estate collection that had been in storage from 1966-2017. The original collection was over 4000 bottles. The family that built this collection was deeply into historical preservation and conservation. They did their own digging, which included collecting all the of the paper travel memorabilia as they traveled across the American West looking for these old bottles (and insulators, and rocks – but we didn’t get those collections). In some cases, we have items that were prepared for going to shows, and then we have boxes and boxes of bottles that are “freshly dug”.
