ANTIQUE G.W. COLE & CO THREE IN ONE 3-IN-ONE OIL Aqua Tooled Cork Top Bottle
This bottle would date between 1899 when George W. Cole & Co made Three In One Oil, before selling the company in 1903, and then incorporating under the Three In One name. As such it would be one of the rarer of this type of bottles.This is a bottle from an estate collection that had been in storage from 1966-2017. The original collection was over 4000 bottles. The family that built this collection was deeply into historical preservation and conservation. They did their own digging, which included collecting all the of the paper travel memorabilia as they traveled across the American West looking for these old bottles (and insulators, and rocks – but we didn’t get those collections). In some cases, we have items that were prepared for going to shows, and then we have boxes and boxes of bottles that are “freshly dug”.
